Job summary

Oumi is seeking a Senior Field ML Engineer to bridge advanced ML engineering with customer success. You will design, train, and deploy AI models on Oumi’s platform while working with customers to translate research into practical, scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with research, product, and engineering teams to ensure a world-class customer experience, contribute to platform improvements, and educate communities with guides and demos.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in applied ML or ML infrastructure.
• Experience training/fine-tuning foundation models (LLMs, diffusion, multimodal).
• Proficient in Python with ML workflows and production use cases.
• Strong ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to learn and fill knowledge gaps proactively.
• Ability to own problems end-to-end in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive success with customers through pre- and post-sales lifecycle, including demos, PoC design, training, and model deployment.
• Train, fine-tune, and evaluate modern LLMs and other AI models on Oumi’s platform.
• Design scalable ML architectures and workflows from data prep to deployment.
• Act as a technical advocate, translating research into practical solutions for customers.
• Collaborate with product and research to surface customer needs and shape the platform.
• Create technical guides, demos, and best practices for customers and the open community.
