Xcel Energy seeks a Material Operations Manager to lead field supply chain operations across multiple locations, ensuring material flow, customer service, and inventory integrity. The role supports field operations, outage response, and storeroom readiness.

Requires a bachelor’s in business or related field, 6+ years in storeroom/logistics, and 3+ years of supervisory experience. Travel up to 25% across Colorado plants is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in storeroom/logistics or supply chain operations.
• 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP, inventory controls, and material planning processes.
• Demonstrated success supporting field operations and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Operational leadership: Manage day-to-day material operations, storeroom performance, inventory practices, and logistics coordination.
• Team and workforce development: Supervise and develop a team of supervisors, union personnel, and logistics staff across multiple sites.
• Customer and stakeholder engagement: Act as primary contact for field operations, contractors, and engineering partners.
• Compliance and continuous improvement: Maintain SOX, FERC, and audit compliance; lead improvement projects.
