Job summary

Certerra-RMA Group in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Technician to perform field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will collect samples, analyze data, and prepare reports for the Project Manager while maintaining equipment and site safety.

Responsibilities include training junior staff, leading lab or field activities, and ensuring QA/QC across projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and data handling.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel as directed.
• Provide clear, complete documentation of findings and results.
• Conduct basic data analysis to verify accuracy before communicating results to the Project Manager.
• Prepare accurate written and digital reports for daily submission to the Certerra Project Manager.
• Maintain and calibrate assigned equipment; operate company vehicles as needed.
• Follow safety rules and pre-task planning; report safety concerns promptly.
• Lead and train junior technicians; supervise field or laboratory activities on projects.
• Maintain quality standards across all assigned projects.
