Job summary

JT4, LLC, a provider of engineering and technical support for western test ranges under J-Tech II, seeks a Field Engineer IV to lead complex field assignments involving electro/mechanical systems installed, operated, tested and maintained.

The role requires coordinating with engineering, logistics, and program management, conducting site visits, preparing technical papers, interfacing with customers, and performing field maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Understanding of RF transmission principles.
• Ability to use basic test equipment.
• General electronics, electro-mechanical, and computer systems.
• Understanding basic networking topologies and telecommunications technologies.
• Knowledge in CISCO communications equipment.
• ISCET certification may be required.
• Associate or technical school with courses in math, basic electronics.
• Excellent technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of design specifications for more complex systems/projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, financial, and program management to define system specs and requirements.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies.
• Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on scope and effort.
• Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
• Interface with customers from quotation to final design and test activities.
