Job summary

Vitrafy Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Field Engineer, Product & Training, to install, commission, and support cryopreservation systems at hospitals and labs across the US. The role is highly travel‑oriented, with about 65% travel and on‑site field work, training, and documentation responsibilities.

You will collaborate with R&D and Product teams to test, validate, and improve devices, while delivering customer training and creating robust service procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 6+ years in field service in medical device or life sciences.
• Willingness to travel ~65% and lift 50–70 lbs.
• Experience creating technical documentation or service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical field expert for installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cryopreservation devices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex or high-impact customer issues, driving corrective actions to resolution.
• Build relationships with clinicians, lab staff, and biomedical engineers to support device performance.
• Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and best practices to maximize uptime.
• Author and maintain service documentation, work instructions, and knowledge base articles.
