Job summary

MVE Biological Solutions in Ball Ground, GA is seeking a Product Engineer to lead mechanical design and sustaining activities for life sciences products. This hands-on role involves design, prototyping, validation, and collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and service teams on the shop floor.

The engineer will drive robust product development across the lifecycle. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, 6+ years of engineering experience, SOLIDWORKS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of full-time engineering work experience.
• Proficient with SOLIDWORKS CAD for mechanical design.
• Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles and practical application.
• Experience identifying CTQ/CTF and inclusion of inspection requirements.
• Proficiency performing tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Experience leading technical design reviews and engineering changes.
• Experience applying FEA and DOE methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of new products and sustaining activities across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and service teams to resolve complex issues.
• Develop prototypes and test protocols; perform tolerance analyses and design iterations.
• Lead DFMEA, risk assessment, and design verification activities.
• Create and maintain Design FMEAs and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Drive BOM accuracy, cost models, and production scalability.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
