Job summary

Rudolph & Sletten is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to join our Los Angeles or Irvine, CA offices. This role focuses on field operations, ensuring plans and specifications are followed with quality control measures, reporting daily progress and quantities, and coordinating with project teams.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, at least five years in construction management, and experience with large commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum five years of experience in construction management.
• Experience with large commercial projects; healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, science & technology is desired.
• Ability to communicate well with multiple levels of personnel.
• Knowledge of plan reading and scheduling software.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of standard concepts, practices and procedures within construction field.
• Interprets designs and drawings for crafts installing materials and qualifications.
• Reviews submittals against specifications.
• Reviews mock-up and/or shop drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with Subcontractors and Suppliers.
• Responsible for QA/QC and documentation.
• Verifies that all completed work complies with applicable codes and drawings.
• Prepares field design changes and as-built drawings, as required.
• Prepares and disseminates status reports, punch lists, and material calculations.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA safety requirements.
