The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or 4+ years in construction management and has 2+ years as a Project Engineer on large commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or four years of construction management experience.
• 2+ years of Project Engineer experience in the field.
• Experience with large commercial projects (healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, science & technology facilities) preferred.
• Ability to read plans and communicate across levels; manage priorities and work at project sites.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook; knowledge of AutoCAD and scheduling/estimation software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans, specifications, designs, shop drawings, and submittals; verify control lines, elevations, installations, and completed work for compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, field supervision, and QA/QC teams to resolve conflicts and address noncompliance or quality issues.
• Prepare, process, and maintain RFIs, field design change requisitions, as-built drawings, status reports, punch lists, sketches, quantity calculations, and other project records.
• Support project planning and controls through quantity takeoffs, scheduling, logistics coordination, productivity tracking, value engineering, and identification of potential change orders.
• Promote a safe and environmentally responsible work site by identifying hazards and ensuring OSHA compliance.
