Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Field Engineer to lead field engineering on LNG plant projects along the US Gulf Coast. You will manage a team, oversee work planning, material management, quantity validation, safety, quality, and system turnover, coordinating with design and startup teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 10–13 years of experience, with strong knowledge of preservation, drawings, vendor documents and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10–13 years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of preservation, maintenance and environment requirements for construction projects.
• Ability to lead field engineering activities across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication with safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field engineering activities for planning, packaging and turnover.
• Direct material management, quantity validation and reporting.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are adhered to on site.
• Coordinate with design for constructability and with startup for system turnover.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and foster a collaborative project culture.
