The role includes developing work plans, resolving design issues, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with USACE requirements, with emphasis on safety and cost control. Regional travel is required, and mentoring junior staff is encouraged.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field (Civil, Mechanical, Construction Engineering) or Construction Management.
Experience: 5+ years as a Field/Office Engineer.
USACE dam or water infra project experience strongly preferred.
CQM for Contractors preferred or ability to obtain.
Valid driver's license for travel.
Responsibilities
Be an Incident and Injury Free Leader.
Provide technical support for construction planning, quality control, design interpretation, constructability reviews, and issue resolution.
Manage on-site construction engineering activities and subcontractor coordination.
Prepare monthly pay estimates, schedule updates, and cost reports.
Ensure compliance with USACE contract requirements, design standards, and QC/QA processes.
Travel to out-of-town jobsites and participate in project meetings.
