Osmose Utilities Services is seeking a Sr. Field Data Technician to collect field data on electric utility and telecommunications facilities. This outdoor role involves hiking between spans, data capture for outside plant engineering, and occasional overnight travel with some longer assignments.

The position requires independent work, training, and a focus on safety, accuracy, and timely data submission. Travel is typically 1-2 weeks away from home, with weekends at home and potential longer

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications and/or electrical distribution systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of pole design including NESC requirements and general safety practices is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.
• Ability to travel and work outside in variable terrain and weather conditions.
• Minimum 1 year of outdoor work-related experience.
• Hold a current valid drivers license for at least 3yrs.

Mansioni

• Work in outdoor environments to collect field data supporting engineering and design of fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized data for each project, including maps, field notes, and digital images.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive relations with customers and the public.
• Organize resources and supervise a crew when assigned to select projects.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment used by the crew.
