Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Controls Technician to travel to customer sites and perform thorough electrical and control system audits. You will interface with engineering teams, review legacy architectures, and help plan installation demotion and start-up activities.

The role supports commissioning, on-site testing, and post Go-Live activities, with strong emphasis on documentation and customer communication. 80% travel is required.

Qualifications

Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
3–5 years in related field experience preferred.
Willingness to travel to customer sites (≈80%).
Experience with brownfield projects at customer sites.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive electrical and control system audits at customer sites.
Assess legacy and distributed controls architectures including Ethernet, Profibus/Profinet, CAN.
Verify configurations and performance of Ethernet-based industrial networks.
Prepare detailed audit reports and documentation.
Provide commissioning support to installation teams and bluefield projects.
Assist in on-site reliability, performance testing, and go-live support.
