Job summary

ATI, Inc. is hiring a Construction Safety Specialist for a full-time role at a federal government facility in Arlington, VA. The candidate will oversee safety on multiple construction projects, apply OSHA and EM385-1-1 standards, ensure contractor compliance, and lead safety training and investigations.

The position requires 5–10 years of experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain clearance. Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $110,000 annually, with generous benefits including

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of construction safety experience.
• Completion of OSHA 500, Asbestos Supervisor, and Lead Supervisor or ability to complete in 6 months.
• US Citizens.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain clearance; able to work independently in a secure environment.
• Federal CAC in recent past preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Utilize OSHA and EM385-1-1 regulations.
• Ensure general contractor compliance with safety rules and procedures.
• Attend weekly project meetings and address safety issues.
• Advise contractor supervisors of non-compliance and stop work in danger.
• Provide clear verbal and written communications and weekly reports with deficiencies and corrections.
• Initiate follow-up to ensure compliance.
• Recommend programs and processes for construction safety across facilities.
• Teach safety-related classes and conduct investigations of incidents.
• Calibrate equipment like multi-gas meters and sound meters.
