Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• NICET II/III certification preferred for higher level Inspector roles.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect TxDOT construction projects for compliance with plans, drawings and specs.
• Prepare and submit clear inspection reports daily.
• Review plans and shop drawings prior to duties.
• Perform field tests using standard methods per AASHTO/ASTM.
• Maintain safety and proper handling of tools and vehicles.
• Communicate progress and delays to supervisor.
• Ensure certifications are current and maintained.
