Job summary

Raba Kistner, Inc. is seeking a dependable Construction Inspector III or IV to join our Infrastructure team in the West, TX area.

Under general supervision, you will inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality procedures, while preparing detailed reports daily. The role requires seven years of roadway inspection experience, a valid driver's license, and NICET Level III (Transportation Engineering Technology).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Seven (7) years experience in roadway and related facilities and construction inspection.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet auto insurability requirements.
• NICET Level III certification in Transportation Engineering Technology (Highway Construction) for IV level.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work in varied field conditions.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Prepare and submit daily testing/inspection reports.
• Review plans and shop drawings before performing duties.
• Perform field tests on materials using standard methods (AASHTO, ASTM).
• Maintain safety practices and proper use of company vehicle and field equipment.
• Ensure certifications are current and up to date.
• Communicate progress and deadlines to the direct report.
• Travel to project sites as required and work in diverse terrains.
