Job summary

Menlo Micro, Austin-based leader in Ideal Switch technology, seeks a Sr. Field Applications Engineer to support pre-sales, specify customer requirements, and drive production readiness.

You will collaborate with regional sales managers and engineers to tailor solutions and accelerate deals. The role includes creating training materials, delivering field training, and supporting the sales team with technical demonstrations and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, and 10 years+ of customer support on semiconductor or related fields.
• Ability to interact with customers at engineering, sales, procurement, product management, supply chain, or C-level.
• Excellent communication, verbal, and written fluency in English.
• Willingness to learn and improve.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Menlo Micro’s products and handling sales/service requests.
• Analyze system problems in installed applications and provide resolutions.
• Collaborate with sales, engineers, and product managers to obtain accurate usage data.
• Prepare technical elements of proposals and define solution guidelines.
• Provide training materials and conduct field training for sales teams.
• Set up demo systems for seminars and conferences.
• Review customer designs and BOMs to ensure compatibility with solutions.
• Serve as main focal point for customer failure analysis and support.
