Job summary

Premier PV is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to oversee field quality of electrical BOS components. You will ensure field issues are resolved quickly and learnings are fed back to design and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a ABET-accredited engineering degree, 3+ years in construction/manufacturing/engineering, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, and/or engineering industries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to read, interpret drawings, specs, scopes of work, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Execute across field and factory to ensure field issues are quickly resolved.
• Handle information requests, warranty claims & RMA processing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Legal teams to refine warranty policies and streamline claims resolution.
• Use warranty data to identify systemic product issues and drive design/documentation improvements.
• Create work instructions, organize field replacements and coordinate corrective actions in the field.
• Collect, analyze, and act on product performance data from the field.
• Identify failure patterns to improve system reliability.
• Establish and monitor KPIs like CSAT, NPS, FRT, and resolution efficiency.
• Present performance dashboards and service trends to senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
