Job summary

Premier PV is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to oversee field quality of electrical BOS components and coordinate rapid responses to field issues. The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Quality and Legal teams to refine warranty policies and streamline claims resolution.

You will analyze warranty data to identify systemic issues and drive design improvements, while creating field work instructions and leading corrective actions in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, and/or engineering industries.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and their components (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, or Power Generation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field quality for Premier PV’s BOS components and address field issues promptly.
• Handle information requests, warranty claims, and RMA processing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Legal teams to refine warranty policies and streamline claims resolution.
• Use warranty data to identify systemic product issues and drive design improvements.
• Create work instructions, organize field replacements, and coordinate corrective actions in the field.
• Collect, analyze, and act on product performance data from the field; monitor KPIs.
