Job summary

FDH Aero is seeking a Field Application Engineer to blend hands-on electronics knowledge with a sales focus to grow our aerospace and defense solutions. You will engage customers, tailor designs, and manage quotes and proposals while coordinating with engineering and supply chain for on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical sales or FAE roles in electronics, aerospace, or defense, with experience in cable harness assemblies and MIL-STD standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical sales or field applications engineering in electronics, aerospace, or defense.
• Experience with cable harness assemblies and related high-reliability interconnects.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a track record of closing deals.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD and AS9100 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, conducting on-site visits, product demonstrations, design reviews, and application support.
• Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot issues, facilitate design-ins, and support integration of components.
• Identify and close new business opportunities, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts.
• Promote value-added programs and manage strategic accounts to grow revenue and profitability.
• Coordinate schedules with supply chain to ensure on-time delivery and optimize margins.
