Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a Field Application Scientist to support Wyatt Light Scattering and Aura instrumentation within the Commercial team. The role is based from a home office with substantial travel (up to 70%), collaborating with sales, customer success, and product management.

You will train, troubleshoot, and drive opportunities, maintaining deep product knowledge and sharing technical insights across biopharmaceutical and academic sectors.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with HPLC and Light Scattering instruments.
• Knowledge of polymer and protein techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Driving record in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop new sales opportunities with local sales, onsite seminars, and demonstrations.
• Manage early-stage opportunities through to technical close.
• Provide masterful application support during the sales process and post-sale training.
• Deliver high-level product training and application support to drive repeat sales.
• Develop application knowledge to support process optimization in biopharma, chemicals, and academic markets.
• Present technical papers at industry seminars and conferences.
