Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer-OEM to lead sustaining engineering for NVIDIA data center products used by OEM customers. You will evaluate new builds, manage qualifications and certifications, and work hands-on with cutting-edge technology.

The role requires strong debugging of server platforms, expertise in PCIe, Redfish, Linux, and firmware, plus excellent communication and project management to resolve field failures and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Field Application Engineering, sustaining engineering, failure analysis, systems engineering, or product engineering.
• Hands-on debugging of server or computing platforms at system and board levels.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective-action closure (8D/FRACAS).
• Strong understanding of server architecture including CPUs/GPUs, memory, storage, power, cooling, interconnects.
• Knowledge of PCIe and troubleshooting of BMC/IPMI/Redfish, BIOS/UEFI, Linux, drivers, firmware, system logs, telemetry.
• Excellent project-management and communication skills.
• Must operate from the Round Rock area and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for sustaining engineering of NVIDIA data center products used by OEM customers.
• Manage complex issues from initial triage and containment to root-cause analysis, corrective action, and resolution.
• Perform system- and board-level failure analysis to isolate hardware, firmware, software, thermal, power, and interconnect-related problems.
• Facilitate the complete RMA process, including data collection, authorization, tracking, engineering disposition, and communication of findings.
• Reproduce field failures in lab environments, analyze failure trends, and drive preventive improvements in product quality and serviceability.
• Collaborate with OEMs, ODMs, manufacturing partners, and NVIDIA teams to resolve critical issues.
• Provide on-site technical support and deliver clear failure-analysis reports, corrective-action updates, and troubleshooting procedures.
