Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking a Senior Outside Plant Engineer in Bismarck, ND. The role leads fiber OSP design, validation, budgeting and scheduling, and acts as SME for ROW permitting and records. Regular field travel and a valid driver's license are required.

The position emphasizes collaboration with multiple ZiplyFiber departments and external vendors to deliver scalable network solutions while maintaining project timelines and costs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus a bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years in telecommunications OSP design/engineering or related field.
• Experience with ROW, easements, and permitting processes.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for field work.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Execute fiber OSP projects including design validation, budget adherence and scheduling.
• Provide SME guidance on outside plant facilities and permitting for ROWs.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors and regulatory bodies.
• Review designs, manage cable records and ensure QA/QC.
• Support leadership with reporting and cross-functional guidance.
