Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to repair and maintain fiber and coaxial networks, from headend to customer devices, including headend electronics and critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and supporting installation and service calls while mentoring junior technicians. Valid CDL/DOT compliance and driving duties are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to obtain current DOT medical card and valid CDL where applicable; must comply with all applicable DOT requirements.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing within the state of residence.
• Qualified to obtain all necessary licenses required by the installing state.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills demand maintenance and preventive maintenance by troubleshooting and repairing the transport, trunk, and distribution networks from the Master Telecommunication Center to customer's devices.
• Maintains a unity gain network and performs FCC-required network tests.
• Troubleshoots and repairs the distribution network from headend to customer's electronic devices.
• Builds, troubleshoots, and repairs FTTH & RFOG networks; supports training for team members.
