Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with Oracle, seeks an Infrastructure Network Planner for OCI to drive expansion of cloud network services. You will shape data center fiber strategies, manage partner relationships, and influence long-term vendor decisions with a focus on growth and efficiency.

The role requires 6–10+ years in telecom/data center fields, strong negotiation and financial modeling skills, and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and senior leaders. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years in telecom, data center, or cloud infra with network planning experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Internet interconnection, submarine cables, wavelengths, and fiber.
• Experience in data center site selection and evaluation processes.
• Strong negotiation skills for fiber agreements, IP transit, wavelengths, and dark fiber.
• Familiarity with financial modeling for deal evaluation and TCO analysis.
• Proficiency in Jira, Excel, PowerPoint, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development initiatives for network growth and partner selection.
• Negotiate connectivity agreements and commercial deals meeting technical needs.
• Develop TCO models for deals across markets and data centers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align fiber strategy with business goals.
• Facilitate communications between OCI teams and fiber providers' operations.
• Represent OCI to senior technical leaders and executives at partner firms.
• Establish and manage strategic relationships with fiber partners and data centers.
• Negotiate terms, SLAs, and pricing aligned with OCI's growth plans.
• Stay informed on industry trends, M&A, and new market entrants in fiber.
• Document decisions and recommendations for technical leadership and VPs.
