Job summary

Optimum is seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech III to repair and maintain fiber and coaxial networks from headend to customer devices. You will support headend electronics and critical infrastructure, performing tests and preventive maintenance as needed.

The role requires fiber repair experience, FTTH/RFOG architecture knowledge, and the ability to operate testing equipment. DOT/CDL qualifications and related certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain current DOT medical card and CDL where applicable.
• Experience with fiber repair and troubleshooting preferred.
• Knowledge of FTTH & RFOG architecture including the plant distribution.
• Certification such as BDS/BTS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs the transport, trunk, and distribution networks from the headend to customer devices.
• Fulfills demand and preventive maintenance to ensure network integrity.
• Build, troubleshoot, and repair FTTH and RFOG networks.
• Coordinate with Design, Construction, ISP, NOC/ROC to resolve issues.
