Job summary

Optimum in New Jersey seeks a Maintenance Technician III to repair and maintain fiber and coaxial networks, supporting residential and business services. You will mentor junior techs and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DOT driver qualification standards and valid CDL where applicable.
• Ability to obtain state licenses required for installing/servicing security services (if applicable).
• Experience with FTTH/RFOG networks and testing equipment.
• Must be able to pass a physical assessment and have a valid medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair the transport, trunk, and distribution networks from headend to customer's devices.
• Maintain a unity gain network and perform FCC-required tests.
• Fulfills duties of Maintenance Tech I and II as needed.
• Collaborate with Design, Construction, ISP, NOC/ROC to resolve escalated issues.
• Build, troubleshoot, and repair FTTH & RFOG networks; oversee training initiatives.
