Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Maintenance Tech III to repair and maintain fiber and coaxial transport and distribution cable services for residential and business video, data, telephone, and security. You will support headend electronics and critical infrastructure equipment and perform troubleshooting from the headend to customers’ devices.

You will mentor lower-level technicians, participate in service and installation as needed, and coordinate with Design, construction, ISP, NOC/ROC to resolve

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in good standing; DOT requirements apply.
• CDL and related certifications where applicable; compliance with DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills maintenance by troubleshooting and repairing transport and distribution networks from headend to customer devices.
• Maintains a unity gain network and performs FCC-required tests.
• Trbleshoots and repairs distribution network from headend to customer's devices; supports installation as needed.
• Coordinate with Design, Construction, ISP, NOC/ROC to resolve escalated issues and identify improvements.
