King County KCIT seeks a skilled Network Fiber Architect to design, implement, and govern enterprise fiber infrastructure across King County’s enterprise environment. You will drive ISP/OSP fiber strategies, route planning, and critical facility connectivity, collaborating with IT partners and facilities teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in network architecture and strong fiber planning experience, with OTDR, GIS, and security focus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years as a Network Engineer/Architect with a focus on fiber/ISP/OSP systems.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic design principles and network transport technologies.
• Experience with OTDR, GIS, Wireshark, and network/dc monitoring tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design and deploy scalable, secure network architectures for enterprise environments.
• Govern and optimize county fiber assets (ISP/OSP, dark fiber) and facility connectivity.
• Collaborate with partners, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure system interoperability.
• Define long-term fiber roadmaps and ensure security and resiliency across networks.
