Job summary

Comcast is seeking a field telecom technician to maintain and restore the integrity of Hybrid Fiber Coaxial and fiber networks. You will troubleshoot impairments, perform preventative maintenance, and support outage restoration across the Memphis service area.

Responsibilities include coordinating with cross‑functional teams, using diagnostic tools, and ensuring customer experience remains high during service interruptions. On‑call rotation applies; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve months cable telecommunications, broadband, or similar experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
• Comcast experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot analog and digital optics to support connectivity to the node, remote OLT/vBNG, or OLT.
• Isolate and resolve fiber optic impairments for HFC and EPON networks.
• Perform construction maintenance: splices aerial/underground coaxial cable and equipment to restore plant to spec; splice/activate coaxial plant as needed.
• Respond to outages and coordinate with Construction, Head End, Operations, and others to resolve complex issues.
• Drive and operate company vehicles during service area travel while maintaining safety.
