Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA seeks a Technical Fellow in Navigation and Communications Systems to lead strategic development across DoD, IC, civil and commercial mission areas. You will shape nav and comm capabilities, mentor staff, drive secure, scalable solutions, and integrate new waveforms into satellite-to-user implementations while partnering with the CTO.

This is a full-time role requiring Top Secret/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship to obtain clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years’ experience in navigation and communication systems.
• Experience leading technology development of nav/comm for government applications.
• Experience designing, modeling and testing nav/comm architectures for gov use.
• Ability to attain Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Work with government customers to rapidly develop space nav and comm capabilities.
• Serve as a technical authority on architectures, collaborations, and field tests.
• Lead strategic planning to grow Aerospace’s nav/comm leadership.
• Drive secure, scalable, and resilient space and ground solutions.
• Mentor staff and advise on succession planning.
• Collaborate across the organization to integrate activities.
