Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Sr. Communication Systems Leader to provide upstream technical leadership for high-stakes US Space Force programs and to translate warfighter needs into capable, next-generation RF, signal processing, and cyber systems.

The role is on-site at our El Segundo, CA facility, co-located with Space Systems Command, with broad vendor evaluation and risk-mitigation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics or closely related field.
• 12+ years of engineering and leadership experience with RF systems, signal processing or satellite communications for government/defense.
• Ability to travel up to 15% to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance and US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Own the Technical Baseline as the go-to authority on a US Space Force system and RF chains.
• Drive evaluations of vendor proposals and influence contractor execution of a program.
• Bridge the Enterprise with acquisition, intelligence, and operational communities for seamless integration.
• Mitigate risk and develop strategic plans to overcome technical, cost, and scheduling hurdles.
• Leverage Aerospace’s labs and collaborate with ETG to solve complex challenges.
• Provide mentorship to the next generation of space engineers and present expert briefings.
