Job summary

Boston Scientific seeks a Fellow Engineer to lead exploratory program efforts in cardiovascular medical devices. You will guide concepts from ideation through exploratory design transfer, generating IP and enabling future product pipelines.

The role requires deep expertise in catheter-based technologies, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a strong hands-on prototyping and testing capability in an onsite Maple Grove, MN environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 years' experience in medical device engineering.
Proven track record of developing medical devices from concept through design transfer.
Demonstrated history of generating core intellectual property and patents.
Strong expertise in cardiovascular therapies, catheter technologies and interventional medical devices.

Responsibilities

Lead the research, development and evaluation of novel medical device technologies to advance therapies.
Independently identify and develop innovative solutions addressing unmet clinical needs while generating IP.
Manage multiple exploratory and scalability development projects with on-time delivery.
Drive R&D activities throughout the exploratory phase of product development programs.
Collaborate with physicians, clinical experts and cross-functional stakeholders to accelerate development timelines.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including IP disclosures, concept reports and test results.
Lead concept reviews and present findings to senior leadership.
