NorthBay Healthcare Group is seeking a Professional Fee Coding Auditor to audit professional fee coding across ambulatory, hospitalist, surgery, and emergency medicine lines. You will resolve pre-billing edits and review denials to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role emphasizes documentation integrity, CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM alignment, and collaboration with leadership to improve coding workflows and education for providers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional fee coding across multiple specialties.
• Minimum 3 years of auditing and edit-resolution experience required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding guidelines.
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy in any coding/billing platform.
• Proficiency with EHRs, encoders (3M), and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Audit professional fee coding across service lines (Ambulatory/Hospitalist, Surgery, Emergency Medicine).
• Resolve pre-billing coding edits and review post-billing denials.
• Ensure coding accuracy, documentation integrity, and payer-specific compliance.
• Provide coder feedback and physician education based on audit findings.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen coding workflows across the organization.
