Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking an experienced Auditor to review medical record documentation and ensure accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding for claims. The role includes conducting audits, delivering findings to physicians and leadership, and educating staff based on audit results.

Candidates should hold a coding or nursing credential and have 1 year of hospital or physician practice coding experience, with strong communication skills and attention to detail. 8–5, on-site in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree required in Nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration; 8–10 years may substitute.
• Must have coding or nursing credential (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, RN) or a financial background.
• Minimum 1 year hospital and/or physician practice coding experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with diverse personnel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and reviews medical record documentation to ensure accurate ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and related coding.
• Expertise in auditing using CMS guidelines.
• Provides education to providers and staff based on audit results.
• Maintains high accuracy in coding and documentation per guidelines.
• Maintains a 90%+ accuracy rate in QA reviews.
