Job summary

Evolver Federal is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced security solutions for federal systems. The role emphasizes RMF/NIST compliance, continuous monitoring, and audit readiness across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments.

You will lead security engineering efforts, collaborate with SOC, architects, and program managers, and drive DevSecOps integration, incident response, and risk‑based improvements for mission‑critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of technical experience, or 4 years in senior IT solutions.
• CISSP mandatory with ISSEP concentration.
• PMP (PMI) certification recommended.
• ITIL 4 Foundation.
• 10 years of enterprise IT experience, last 5 on large government contracts.
• U.S. Citizen eligible for a comprehensive government background check.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions for federal environments with RMF and NIST alignment.
• Engineer secure configurations for SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Support SOC analysts by developing advanced correlation rules and optimizing workflows.
• Integrate security into DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD workflows.
• Lead incident response activities and forensic investigations.
• Develop security engineering documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet audit requirements and performance KPIs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and propose security posture improvements.
