Job summary

9th Way Insignia seeks an experienced Cloud Security Architect/Engineer to design, implement, and assess secure cloud solutions for VA enterprise systems and modernization efforts.

The role emphasizes translating regulatory requirements into concrete cloud controls, supporting ATO/RMF processes, and ensuring alignment with Federal cybersecurity standards. A strong background in government-grade security and risk management is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of Information Security experience, including 5+ years in Cybersecurity and Cloud Security, at a large government agency.
• Expertise in cybersecurity architecture and engineering requirements and authorizations (FedRAMP/RMF) into systems and applications.
• Experience with security compliance requirements and regulatory standards (NIST, FISMA, HIPAA) and security-control implementations.

Responsibilities

• Design, assess, and implement secure cloud architectures and engineering solutions for VA enterprise systems and modernization initiatives.
• Translate cybersecurity and regulatory requirements into practical cloud security architectures and controls.
• Support ATO activities and integrate RMF into cloud environments.
