Job summary

The Senior Proposal Manager at AeroVironment, Inc. leads end-to-end federal proposal development, coordinating planning, evaluation, and delivery while ensuring compliance with Shipley processes and solicitation requirements.

You will gather information from multiple sources, develop cohesive proposal content, and manage schedules and reviews with cross-functional teams to produce compelling submissions. Travel up to 15% may be required and ITAR compliance applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• 7+ years in Federal Government proposal development using Shipley with varying classification levels.
• Basic knowledge of FAR/DFAR compliance regarding US Government solicitations.
• Proficient with MS Office business applications and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assemble required resources and matrixed support to develop proposal content and ensure conformance to solicitation requirements.
• Coordinate efforts across several projects, demanding self-organization and time management.
• Manage all aspects of proposal development from RFP receipt through delivery to the customer.
• Analyze solicitations and determine final document structure in line with requirements.
• Prepare detailed proposal plans, schedules and compliance matrices for assigned pursuits.
• Lead major project meetings (Kick-off, Strategy, Color Team reviews) and coordinate schedules.
• Develop and manage proposal schedules, compliance matrices and document configuration control.
• Provide guidance to proposal writers/contributors and subcontractors.
• Ensure proposal processes are followed, style guides used, and documents meet guidelines.
• Manage collection and editing of proposal materials for compliance.
• Ensure proposals comply with section L&M or equivalent instructions.
• Adapt processes to balance stakeholders’ needs with opportunity resources.
• Other duties as assigned.
