Job summary

ACET, Incorporated in Havelock, NC, is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager to lead the development and submission of federal, state, and commercial proposals. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and DoD procurement processes.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional writing and editing skills, and experience with Shipley or similar methodologies. This is a 1099 contractor position soliciting high-quality, compliant proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, English, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in proposal management.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, DoD, and federal acquisition processes.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Experience with Shipley or similar proposal methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full proposal lifecycle from capture to submission.
• Develop schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, and reviews.
• Coordinate input from technical, management, pricing, and contracts teams.
• Facilitate color team reviews and implement feedback.
• Ensure compliance with RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements.
• Write and edit proposal sections and executive summaries.
• Collaborate with pricing to align cost with the technical approach.
• Manage proposal production and submission.
• Develop templates and lessons learned for future proposals.
