Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in Anchorage, AK seeks a Project Engineer to oversee federal construction projects at JBER. The role focuses on observation, reporting to government personnel, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

You will review submittals, coordinate change orders, manage QA and safety plans, and provide field surveillance with detailed daily reports. A PE license is preferred and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 10+ years on large complex federal construction projects (USACE/DoD preferred).
• Experience with vertical construction including admin buildings, barracks, etc.
• Current PE license preferred.
• Experience with Three-Phase QC/Inspection process.
• Experience with RMS (Resident Management System).
• Ability to obtain/maintain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report on assigned projects to government personnel.
• Oversees construction, contract administration, and QA activities per policies and regs.
• Analyzes design and construction issues related to contract requirements.
• Provide engineering determinations to meet contract requirements.
• Review submittals, RFIs, construction deficiencies, and claims.
• Assist in preparing change orders and cost estimates.
