Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer (Civil/Structural) to support federal construction in Anchorage, AK (JBER). The role requires US citizenship and the ability to pass a federal background review and drug screen.

You will review plans, support RFP scopes, and assist with contract modifications. The ideal candidate has a PE license in Alaska, 10+ years of structural experience on large federal projects, NDI exposure, and familiarity with RF shielding,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Alaska Professional Engineer license.
• 10+ years of structural engineering on federal projects (USACE/DoD).
• NDI experience and familiarity with AISC.
• RF Shield and ICD 705 construction requirements.
• HEMP design knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serves as technical expert for civil and structural systems and related steel and welding on federal projects.
• Reviews plans and specifications for constructability, non‑compliance and clarity.
• Assists in scopes of work for RFPs, government estimates, and contract modifications.
• Assists with steel and welding inspections, QA, and contract administration.
• Prepares RFIs, REAs, and contract modification documentation.
• Coordinates with designers and project team on submittals and responses.
• Documents progress schedules, RFQ/contract data, and documentation for project decisions.
• Supports HEMP shielding, RF shield, ICD 705 requirements and related reviews.
