Job summary
Hive Group seeks a Senior Technical Writer & Content Editor to refine complex federal procurement packages, SOPs, and executive deliverables in Huntsville. You will edit for clarity and consistency, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
The role requires familiarity with FAR/DFARS concepts, strong MS 365 and Google Workspace skills, and experience applying AI tools to accelerate review cycles and improve document quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field.
- 2+ years as Technical Writer, Editor, or Communications Specialist.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS concepts and federal procurement docs.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Experience with AI writing/editing tools to speed review cycles.
Responsibilities
- Review federal procurement and program docs to ensure on-time delivery and SOP compliance.
- Refine complex content for clarity, messaging, and stakeholder audiences.
- Identify risks in requirements and propose proactive solutions.
- Edit for consistency, tone, grammar, and structure across assignments.
- Conduct peer reviews with multi-disciplinary teams to improve quality.
- Document quality metrics to support process improvements.
- Leverage Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and AI tools to streamline workflows.
