Job summary

Intelligence Federal is seeking an experienced General Attorney – Federal Procurement & Contracts to support our contract with the EMCBC Office of Chief Counsel. This full-time contractor role will emphasize legal research, drafting, contract compliance, and litigation support, with a focus on DOE contractor oversight and 10 CFR Part 719 compliance.

The position is remote with occasional travel and eligible for Intelligence Federal benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of legal practice experience as an attorney.
• 7+ years of litigation experience.
• 4+ years with contractor compliance in the Federal sector, preferably with a Federal agency.
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
• Strong federal government contract and/or agreement drafting experience.
• Experience with federal contracts, contractor oversight, or procurement-related matters is highly relevant.
• Experience in environmental law is a strong plus.
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.

Responsibilities

• Draft legal analyses, opinions, and memoranda on contractor management activities and regulatory compliance obligations.
• Conduct legal research on 10 CFR Part 719, federal procurement law, and related areas.
• Provide negotiations support to agency personnel and prepare relevant documentation and authorities.
• Draft internal and external memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Review submittals (e.g., Legal Management Plans, Budgets, Letters of Engagement) for 10 CFR Part 719 and DOE requirements.
• Review attorney billing rates for reasonableness against regulatory standards and benchmarks.
• Support agency attorneys in environmental law, property, appropriations, and administrative law through research and markup of documents.
