Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to lead CBP NOC operations in Ashburn, VA. The role requires managing large, mission-critical IT network programs for federal clients, with responsibility for staffing, performance, and client relationships.

You will oversee planning, execution, risk management, and reporting across dispersed teams, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while adhering to federal standards and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent with 12 years of experience, including leadership/supervision.
• Experience managing large-scale IT network or infrastructure programs for federal clients.
• Active PMP certification and strong IT service management knowledge (ITIL).
• Experience leading teams across multiple locations in a matrixed environment.
• Proven ability to maintain senior government client relationships and deliver programs on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Knowledge of IT network operations, NOC environments, ITIL, and federal acquisition/delivery standards.
• Experience with federal contract management including FAR/DFAR compliance and reporting.
• Ability to lead technical teams through high-pressure incidents and clearly explain complex network issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide program leadership and oversee contract operation support for the CBP NOC program across multiple sites.
• Manage day-to-day operations of contract teams deployed at multiple sites.
• Act as interim Program Manager when needed and mentor multi-disciplinary teams.
• Foster a high-performance culture aligned with contractor and government priorities.
• Develop IMS and PMPs; ensure resources and deliverables are properly tracked.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and performance metrics; generate comprehensive status reports.
• Identify risks and issues, implement mitigations, and brief leadership on resolutions.
• Drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with DHS/CBP policies and contract requirements.
