Job summary

GSA is seeking an Acquisition Project Manager to lead highly complex, high-dollar IT and professional service acquisitions through the pre-award lifecycle, serving as the technical expert from initiation to task order award. The role involves developing requirements, documenting strategies, and guiding industry engagement to ensure mission success.

The position resides within the Federal Acquisition Service, Assisted Acquisition Services, OSO, with multiple vacancies and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in Federal acquisition and project management.
• Experience providing technical advice to client agency and contractors.
• Ability to prepare and document acquisition strategy and SOW/PWS.
• Experience determining contract type and leading technical evaluation of proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead highly complex, high-dollar acquisitions from initiation through award.
• Assess and document client technical and contractual requirements; conduct market research.
• Translate requirements into written documentation and prepare solicitations and evaluation reports.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with clients, contractors, and staff; coordinate competition and industry engagement.
• Lead matrixed teams through the pre-award lifecycle; mentor junior staff and maintain compliant files.
