Job summary

GSA is seeking an Acquisition Project Manager to lead complex, high-dollar IT and professional services acquisitions through the pre-award lifecycle, serving as the technical expert from project initiation to task order award.

You will work with clients, contractors, and the Contracting Officer to develop requirements, conduct market research, prepare solicitation documents, and guide teams to successful awards.

This position may require travel and compliance with federal procurement rules.

Qualifications

• Requires demonstrated expertise in Federal acquisition and project management, from initiation through award.
• Experience preparing and documenting acquisition strategies and statements of work.
• Ability to lead complex, high-dollar acquisitions and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Serves as expert Acquisition Project Manager for high-dollar acquisitions (>$250M).
• Identifies, analyzes, and schedules milestones to satisfy client needs.
• Translates requirements into written documentation and prepares solicitations and evaluations.
• Develops partnerships with clients, contractors, and internal staff; coordinates competition activities.
• Provides leadership to Integrated Project Teams during the pre-award lifecycle.
