Job summary

MAG Aerospace in the United States seeks a Principal Contracts Administrator to independently manage complex federal contracts, ensuring compliance with SBA, FAR/DFARS, and state/federal laws. The role includes mentoring staff and supporting strategic capture activities to win new business.

The position requires in-depth government contracting knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work in person at MAG facilities in Fairfax, VA at least two days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
• 7+ years of contract administration and proposal experience.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS and government contracting.
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• In-person work at MAG facility in Fairfax, VA at least two days/week.

Responsibilities

• Provide cradle-to-grave administration of contracts, including modifications and negotiations.
• Lead and support proposal activities, analyze solicitations, and prepare summaries.
• Advise leadership on contractual rights, risks, and strategy.
• Maintain logs of proposals and generate contract activity reports.
• Coordinate reviews with internal teams and secure approvals before execution.
• Develop or review prime and subcontracts flow-down documents for compliance.
• Manage CDRL preparation and submission to customers.
• Support HR, Finance, and Procurement in contract execution.
