Job summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a Construction Site Safety and Health Officer for a Pittsburgh, PA project. The role requires 10+ years as a Construction Safety Manager on federal projects, OSHA 30, EM 385-1-1 certification, and the ability to obtain access to federal installations.

You will lead safety and field operations across multiple trades to ensure compliance and project success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of experience as Construction Safety Manager on federal projects.
• Valid OSHA 30 training and EM 385-1-1 certification.
• Ability to obtain access to federal/military installations.
• Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Promote proactive safety culture across each project and ensure compliance with OSHA and EM385-1-1 requirements.
• Lead site safety inspections and coordinate safety plans with subcontractors.
• Coordinate field personnel to maintain safety, schedule and productivity.
• Monitor progress, review drawings and contract documents to prevent safety issues.
• Maintain positive relationships with Owners, Contracting Officers, and stakeholders.
