Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Construction (QA) Inspector in Anchorage, AK to perform daily inspections at federal facilities, ensuring compliance with contract drawings, plans, and workmanship.

The role requires coordination with government personnel to implement quality controls and approve changes. You will manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders, verify as-built drawings, and monitor safety plans per USACE/DoD guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; construction-related degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years on large federal construction projects (USACE/DoD preferred).
• Experience with multiple trades (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, roofing, general construction).
• Proficient reading of contract drawings and specifications; strong written/verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections on federal facilities for workmanship and compliance with plans and specs.
• Review and recommend changes to government personnel regarding contract plans and specs.
• Monitor contractor's quality system and administer three-phase inspection process.
• Provide on-site surveillance and assist owner with problem resolution.
• Process and review change orders, RFIs, and submittals; monitor schedule.
