Job summary

Akira Technologies is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to support NTIA budget formulation and execution, forecasting, and resource planning in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes turning financial and program data into actionable insights and executive-ready dashboards.

The position is hybrid with onsite presence up to two-three days per week. Ideal candidates have US Citizenship and a Public Trust clearance, with 7+ years of relevant experience and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, or related field.
7+ years of budget, financial management, or related experience.
3+ years of Federal budgeting or financial management experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate data into concise recommendations.

Responsibilities

Support annual and multi-year budget formulation, execution, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Develop budget forecasts, spend plans, burn-rate analyses, and funding projections.
Monitor commitments, obligations, expenditures, and execution against plans.
Identify funding shortfalls, surpluses, and evolving resource risks.
Develop staffing and funding analyses and evaluate alternative resource scenarios.
Prepare estimates and forecasts using historical trends and mission priorities.
Create monthly, quarterly, and executive financial reports with dashboards.
Coordinate budget activities with program, accounting, IT, and operations teams.
