Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Associate, FCM to support Coinbase Financial Markets, Inc. across US Futures, Prediction Markets, and Options, managing back-office operations and ensuring regulatory compliance as the derivatives infrastructure scales.

You will own exception management, lead readiness for new product launches, and partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and Engineering to design scalable controls and reporting. Prior experience in financial services is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services or fintech operations with FCM or derivatives experience.
• Analytical problem-solving in exception-based operations with strong prioritization.
• Product launch and operational readiness experience, including requirements gathering and UAT.
• Cross-functional partnering with Product, Risk, Compliance teams in fast-moving environments.
• Interest in blockchain/cryptocurrency markets and regulated derivatives.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight for quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own exception management across cash, positions, trades, and margin, including triage and fixes.
• Lead operational readiness for new product launches, covering UAT design and cutover plans.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and Engineering to design scalable controls and reporting.
• Establish monitoring frameworks, SLAs, KPIs, dashboards, and incident triage processes.
• Drive root cause analysis and post-mortems to improve product and process efficiency.
• Identify and implement automation to reduce manual work and operational friction.
